Australian National Racing Pigeon Board

The new National Board urges fanciers to make an effort to attend and participate in a day where the future of pigeon racing will be discussed. Fanciers need to be involved in the future decision making of our sport. Our sport faces challenges but none more important than pigeon welfare.

Ponderosa Stud

74 Donnelly Road, Bywong

Just off Federal Highway about 20 km north of Canberra

Date Saturday 19 November, 2016

Saturday 11.30am – People meet to renew acquaintances and join George Desira in an informal tour of the stud.

1.00pm – BBQ lunch will be provided by the Canberra Combine.

The pivotal part of the weekend follows lunch with the inaugural information presentation by the ANRPB.

Topics to be covered include;

  • The reason for the formation of the Board

  • Involvement with Animal Health Australia

  • What has been achieved to date

  • Looking to the future

  • Pigeon Welfare

  • Question and Answer

This will be followed by a presentation on Adenovirus by Dr Rob Marshall
